About Chris Mejia
Hi there! That's my name right there above this summary! I am a passionate animator, artist, and storyboard artist with eight years animation experience I attended Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entertainment Art/Animation.
Storytelling has been a passion of mine since I was a young kid. Playing around characters with different personalities, their behaviors, and how they go about in situations is what i enjoy telling the most.
I am a very sociable person that enjoy making films alongside hanging out with friends and making new ones, video games, comics, cartoons, exercising, and cook good food!
My Story
Born in 1990 and growing up in the suburban San Gabriel Valley area of Southern California, I enjoyed spending many hours on the TV set of animated movies and cartoons. It filled my imagination and inspired me to tell stories through drawings. From drawing on the wall to a chalkboard, self made comic books, and finally a high school animation class these hobbies have all inspired me of wanting to get into animation, storytelling, and film-making.
I contributed my talents onto projects such as the LGBT cartoon pilot Rainbow Floor, the animated short Nate and John, and currently volunteering on Bee Movie Re-pollinated Collaboration Project.
I animate my own show, a Youtube animated series called Chris-Mania! (formerly Kid with the Redcap), based on the adventures of a cartoon me and my siblings with cartoony humor and comedy inspired by animations such as Spongebob Squarepants, EddsWorld, and Looney Tunes.
I am currently developing a kid/family friendly Youtube channel with content that appeal to a broad range of audience including those on the autism spectrum with my engaging stories. Current projects include the CG short "Honey and Tomo", a TikTok/Instagram food vlog series "Chrisy-Eats", and a 90's nostalgia short form series The Radasaurs!
